Whether you need help to recover from a recent sports injury or a more intimate health problem such as pelvic pain or incontinence, our clinicians have the education and experience to exceed your expectations. Our physical therapists are unique because they will evaluate your problem and develop a plan of care for you considering all aspects of your life – physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual – and they will also consider key wellness issues that must be addressed based on your age and risk factors for certain illnesses (e.g.: cardiac disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, etc.). We deeply believe in a comprehensive approach to health, wellness, and healing and will work to inform you about your condition and empower and inspire you to achieve improved health and function. Our primary goal and mission is to help you do what you love to do.
Providence Physical Therapy is committed to bring hope and healing to our patients, our community, and to women, children and families globally through excellent physical therapy care, education, research, and service.
Education – Each of our physical therapists professionally teach and/or volunteer their time participating in educational outreach to schools, churches, and community centers and nationally to physical therapy colleagues.
Research – We conduct ongoing clinical research in an effort to develop sound physical therapy treatments for a variety of orthopaedic and women’s health diagnoses. This research is presented to the medical community, nationally and internationally, and is published in scientific journals.
Service – Each member of our staff believes in a life that is lived in service to others and participates regularly in community outreach. As a clinic we also provide financial support to specific local and global programs that bring hope and healing to women, children, and families.
We are committed to providing you with specialized one-on-one care using our expertise to help you reach your goals. As our client you will receive the following:
- A 40 to 45 minute initial examination
- Time spent with hands-on treatment by your physical therapist each time you visit the facility
- Education regarding your specific problem(s) and the best options for reaching your goals
- Use of state-of-the art equipment and best scientific evidence in formulating your plan of care
- Personalized exercise instruction including consultation on body mechanics, spine-centered posture control and home exercise based on what is best for you
- Recommendations to improve your fitness, nutrition, and wellness, including ways to prevent health issues that are commonly seen in women and men
- A commitment to communicate with you and your medical team, in writing, regarding our examination findings and outcomes of treatment
Every one of our treatment rooms contains an old fashioned key (some large, some smaller). They are to honor a man by the name of Keith Kleven MS, PT, ATC – a phenomenal physical therapist and practice owner of over 40 years. He whole-heartedly believed in patient-centered care, and an “old fashioned” idea that the “patient comes first” – meaning that the patient deserves to receive a PT’s undivided attention, thoughtful comprehensive examination, and treatment that is evidence-based, yet compassionate and delivered with commitment to quality and excellence. The DNA of our practice is shaped by this patient-centered philosophy. Additionally, the shape of a key is used, because we truly believe that the “key” to a patient’s healing may involve more than physical therapy alone, and we are committed to walking with a patient through their healing process, providing them with recommendations to other professionals and resources as needed to help them with their medical, physical, nutritional, psychological, and/or wellness needs.
